Grace Lee Boggs was a guest of the COSW and the University Libraries on March 1, 2007 when she spoke on the topic "Born Female: Growing into Feminism and Movement Building." She is an activist, writer and speaker who lives in Detroit. Her sixty-five years of political involvement encompases the major U.S. social movements of the 20th century, including the Civil Rights, Black Power, and Women's movements.
